Private Dinners in Baton Rouge

Private Dinners

A Room Built for the Occasion

Some dinners deserve more than a corner booth. The Colonel's Club hosts private dinners in a dedicated space inside a 1936 building on Perkins Road, with custom menus from Chef Chris Motto, a full craft cocktail bar, and live piano if you want it.

Rehearsal dinners, milestone birthdays, retirement celebrations, anniversary dinners, client gatherings, and every occasion that belongs in a room worth remembering. We handle the food, the bar, and the setup. You handle the guest list.

Why The Colonel's Club

What Makes Dinner Here Different

Custom Menus

Chef Chris Motto builds a menu specifically for your dinner. Plated, family style, buffet, or passed. Every course made with your group in mind.

Full Craft Bar

Classic cocktails, signature drinks, wine pairings, champagne toasts, and a whiskey selection worth lingering over. Open bar or consumption bar available.

A Room with a Story

A dedicated private space inside a building that's been hosting gatherings for nearly a century. Design details from around the world. Not a banquet room. A room.

The Evening

What Your Private Dinner Looks Like

Your guests walk in and the room is already set. The bar is open. The piano is playing softly if you asked for it. The table is configured the way you planned it — a long family-style table, rounds with a cocktail hour first, or something in between. We set it up either way.

The food arrives plated or passed, depending on what you chose with Chef Motto. Toasts land because the room is quiet enough for every word to carry. The cocktails keep coming but nobody's rushing. Dessert shows up and the evening stretches longer than you planned because nobody wants to leave.

That's the whole idea. A dinner that feels like a real occasion instead of just another night out.

Private Dinner FAQ

Our private event space accommodates groups from 20 to 80+ guests. We configure the room for seated dinners, cocktail hours, or a combination. Smaller groups of 6 to 20 also work in our semi-private group dining setup without a full event space buyout.
Rehearsal dinners, milestone birthdays, anniversary dinners, retirement parties, engagement dinners, holiday gatherings, client dinners, family reunions, and any occasion that calls for a private room and a proper meal. If it belongs around a long table, we can host it.
Yes. Chef Chris Motto builds a custom menu for every private dinner. Plated courses, family-style spreads, passed hors d'oeuvres, or buffet service. Dietary preferences, allergies, and special requests are all handled during the planning process.
Minimums vary by day, time, and group size. Our events team walks through all pricing during the planning process. No hidden fees, no surprises on the invoice.
We recommend 4 to 6 weeks for most private dinners, and 2 to 3 months for larger events or peak seasons like holidays and wedding weekends. Popular dates fill up fast, so the earlier you reach out, the better.
Yes. Live piano can be added to your private dinner at a volume that lets every toast, speech, and conversation carry the way it should. It's one of the things that makes The Colonel's Club feel different from any other Baton Rouge venue.
